FRED LONIDIER is an artist living and working in San Diego. Recent or upcoming works: *"N.A.F.T.ASReturns to Tijuana/Regresa a Tijuana," truck-trailer traveling exhibit to the maquiladora zones, 2003 and, now, the photo/text artwork: two long panels. You can see Fred Lonidier's photographs of the 1968 trial of three Black Panther members here.
GENE AND GABY RAY AND THE CARNIVAL OF DEMOCRACY PLAYERS (#2) These images are of the Carvival of Democracy Players, an activist group co-founded by Gene Ray. This group did guerilla theater in the Sarasota-Tampa Bay area in 2001-2. Two actions shown: street theater on Hiroshima Day 2001, in Sarasota, and a coalition protest of surveillance cameras and facial recognition software in Tampa's Ybor City. Photos are by Gaby Ray. GREGORY SHOLETTE (#1) Gregory Sholette i s a NYC based artist, writer and a co-founder of the artist collectives REPOhistory and PAD/D.
